A Certified Hospitality Professional (CHP) recognized by the Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Professionals (ITHP), Fe Corazon C. Villanueva stands as one of the most influential figures in hospitality and tourism education today. In the ever-evolving landscape of academic innovation and international collaboration, her name resonates with leadership, excellence, and transformative vision.
With over a decade of unwavering commitment to academic leadership, program development, and global partnerships, Dean Villanueva has transformed La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) into a frontrunner in immersive, globally-aligned hospitality education. Currently serving as the Dean of the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM) since 2018, she has led with purpose—developing not just academic programs, but cultivating a thriving culture of excellence across her institution.
Her leadership has resulted in bold initiatives such as crafting strategic development plans, upgrading curricula to meet both professional and statutory standards, advancing faculty development, and expanding international internships that expose students to real-world, global hospitality experiences.
Fe holds a Doctor in Business Administration (2023) and an MBA in Hotel and Restaurant Management (2012)—both from LCUP. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from La Consolacion College Manila, completed in 1992. These academic credentials, paired with her strong administrative track record, make her a respected authority in both educational leadership and operational management.
As a TESDA Assessment Center Manager, she upholds national technical standards and ensures that students emerge industry-ready. Her previous roles—ranging from Program Head to Assistant Manager at BarCIE International Center and Office Assistant in LCUP’s Research and Publications Office—have further refined her expertise in institutional operations and educational program management.
Fe’s innovations have been nothing short of transformative. She introduced Villa Sta. Monica Suites as a training ground and income-generating facility, established Café Rencontre as a barista laboratory, and led LCUP to become the first university in Region III to integrate Virtual Reality (VR) Labs for hands-on, immersive learning. She also reignited the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) post-pandemic, opening doors to placements in Japan and the U.S.
Her growing list of accolades includes her appointment as Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Hospitality, Tourism and Cultural Research. She is also a CHED scholar under the SIKAT program and a prominent speaker in academic forums, graduation ceremonies, and tourism summits. As a prolific researcher, she has earned Best Paper and Best Presenter awards, with studies that explore green practices, CSR branding impacts, and digital tools in tourism education.
Fe is deeply embedded in key professional organizations including ICHRIE, PHILAIR, TIBFI, COHREP, UFTE, and HRAP. She serves as an Accreditor for CHED and PACUCOA, and is an ISO Internal Auditor, underscoring her commitment to quality assurance and educational standards.
Whether mentoring students, hosting international conferences, or strengthening industry-academe ties, Fe Corazon C. Villanueva continues to raise the bar—not just for LCUP, but for the entire landscape of hospitality education in the Philippines.
