Certified Tourism Professional (CTP) Ma. Leslie B. Basallo exemplifies what it means to be a leader in the fields of tourism and hospitality education. As a seasoned educator and administrator, she currently serves as Professor III and Dean of the College of Technology and Management at Cebu Technological University-Barili Campus.

With over a decade of experience in academic instruction and research, Ma. Leslie has made significant contributions to shaping tourism education in the Philippines. Her scholarly work has been published in respected international journals and focuses on tourism sustainability, technological innovation in travel, and socioeconomic impacts in Southern Cebu.

She holds multiple postgraduate degrees, including a Doctor in Business Administration and a Doctor in Public Administration, along with a Master’s in Business Administration major in Tourism and Recreation Management. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Tourism. Ma. Leslie is also a Licensed Professional Teacher and an accredited AACCUP accreditor.

Her commitment to advancing both tourism research and community service has earned her numerous accolades, including the Asia Pacific Most Outstanding Education Leader and the Inspirational Educator Award in Bangkok. In addition to her academic roles, she continues to mentor emerging scholars and develop programs that balance visitor growth with environmental sustainability.
