His academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Bulacan State University and a Master of Science in the same field from La Consolacion University Philippines.

How Did He Discover ITHP?

Joseph’s path to ITHP certification began with inspiration from a mentor. “I discovered ITHP through my college professor and mentor, Ma’am Angel, who is also a Certified Hospitality Professional (CHP). She inspired me to pursue the same path, and since then, it has become my dream to become a CHP as well” he recalls.

How Has ITHP Contributed to His Career Growth?

ITHP membership has been instrumental in Joseph’s development as an educator. “Being part of ITHP has greatly contributed to my career growth as an educator. It is important for students to see a teacher who is knowledgeable and well-equipped to teach them effectively.” he explains.

“Through ITHP’s seminars and training programs, I’ve been able to enhance and calibrate my knowledge in tourism and hospitality, allowing me to deliver updated and industry-relevant lessons in the classroom.” The certification has also reinforced his credibility as a program leader, enabling him to advocate for curriculum enhancements that prepare students for global hospitality challenges.

As a Program Chair, Joseph leverages ITHP resources daily. “As the Program Chair of a 3-year diploma program, ITHP has been a great help in supporting my current professional role. It has provided me with access to industry updates, seminars, and best practices that I can apply in curriculum development, faculty training, and student engagement.” he shares.
